Children & Youth

Children are so important and are loved by God! At Rushmere we believe that they are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today.

Most Sunday mornings, the whole church family gathers together for about 30minutes, after which the children meet together in their own groups. We expect children to be themselves in church and parents/carers remain responsible for them.

There are two Sunday morning groups, Discoverers and Tribe. There are additional children and youth groups during the week.

Discoverers

For 0 to 11 yrs (yr 6).

Activities for all ages and needs (including the very young). In this group the children discover together about God and Jesus through play-based activities, sensory activities, arts and crafts, games, stories and prayer. A sharing time, with a snack, is included each week.

Tribe

Tribe is our youth group for ages 11+. Our vision statement for the young people in our church is ‘Finding Purpose, Being Transformed, Growing Together’. Through games, discussion, reading the bible and more we hope to see our youth, find their purpose, grow in Christ and be equipped for a future.

Week-days:

Monday night club for children

at Rushmere Baptist Church

For children aged 7-11, (school years 2 - 6) at Rushmere Baptist Church

FFAF stands for Fun, Friends and Faith and each week we enjoy a mixture of crafts, games and activities linked to a Bible story.

Paper crafts, cooking, parachute games, quizzes, “minute to win it”, relay races and some of the stories we have shared are ;
“The man who climbed a tree,” “The lady who ran out of food, “The scared soldier.”
